A self-drive is your own 4×4, with Priority Travels handling the vehicle, the route and the camps so you are not guessing the tracks. You set the pace. We book the nights, the park fees and the vehicle that can actually do the sand.
Typical loops start in Maun: Moremi and the western Delta, then Savuti and the Chobe riverfront, out through Kasane. A shorter run stays on the Delta edge and the Gomoti or Khwai area. The Kalahari and Makgadikgadi are a separate week if you want desert after the water. Distances look short on a map and are not. Sand, elephants on the road and a closed gate at dusk are the real timetable.
The vehicle is a high-clearance 4×4 with a roof tent or seats for a lodge itinerary, recovery gear, and a cooler. We brief you in Maun on fuel, water, the radio and which tracks flood. Camps are a mix of staffed lodges and, if you want them, public campsites. A guide can join for the park days if you would rather not drive the sand yourself.
